A Year in Review & A Wish for 2024…

Another year has passed, with many wonderful memories. This year has been filled with adventures, trips to Ireland and Maine, family celebrations, delving into new experiences, reading books, cooking meals. I hit a milestone this year, turning 50, while my parents earlier this year, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family from home. My parents continue to enjoy retirement, traveling and volunteering, while my dad is in love with our cats JJ and Carmel, who keep us on our toes. Work for me continues to be busy, working in a school. Every day is different, and I enjoy the daily interactions with both my peers and kids.

This year, I got to celebrate friends in numerous ways, we observed small moments, anniversaries, and I had some amazing experiences, sunset cruises on the harbor, weekends away, concerts, botanical gardens, a train trip through the Cape, conferences in Boston, and a visit to the Edward Hopper exhibit in Gloucester to name a few. Life has been good, and I plan on many more adventures in the upcoming year. Turning 50 has been liberating, and my bucket list of trips & adventures continues to grow.

My wish for you in 2024 – be happy, let things happen as they are supposed to. Enjoy each other, seize the moment, and make memories. Try to forget the hassles, and uncontrollable elements of life, deal with them as they arise, but don’t be overwhelmed by them. Have the fullest life possible, don’t be distracted by things that make no difference to who you are. Remember everyone you encounter is put there for a reason. They have been put in your universe so that you can learn a valuable lesson.

I thank you for being my family, for the unspeakable joy you have given me. I am lucky to have you as friends. I look forward to deepening my relationships and celebrating more milestones, even the small ones. Have a wonderful 2024, and let’s make some more wonderful memories.
